肝素鈉是粘多糖硫酸酯類(lèi)抗凝血藥。肝素鈉是由豬或牛的腸粘膜中提取的硫酸氨基葡聚糖的鈉鹽，屬粘多糖類(lèi)物質(zhì)。為抗凝血藥。對凝血過(guò)程的許多環(huán)節都有影響，可延長(cháng)凝血時(shí)間和凝血酶原時(shí)間。本品不論在體內或體外，都有迅速的抗凝血作用。本品主要作用于纖維蛋白的形成，也可使血小板聚集減少。
本品可用于預防和治療血栓栓塞性疾病，如：心肌梗塞、肺栓塞、腦血管栓塞、外周靜脈血栓等，可防止血栓的形成和擴大。還可用于DIC的早期，及其它體內外的抗凝。早期應用可以防止纖維蛋白原和凝血因子的耗竭。也可在輸血時(shí)代替枸櫞酸鹽或體外循環(huán)時(shí)作為體外抗凝血藥。
